A Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) is a company that either owns or finances income-generating real estate properties. Much like mutual funds, REITs offer investors a means to diversify their portfolios, earn regular income streams, and pursue long-term capital appreciation.
By investing in REITs, individuals have the opportunity to invest in the real estate market without the need to directly purchase or manage properties themselves. Instead, REITs pool funds from various investors to acquire or finance real estate projects, with unit holders earning a portion of the income generated from renting or selling these properties.
