Mr. Farooq A. Khan brings over 28 years of extensive experience in the financial sector, having held leadership positions at renowned institutions including Faysal Bank, MCB Bank, Eco Trade & Development Bank, and United Bank Limited (UBL). Prior to his current role at Bank Alfalah as Group Head of Corporate, Investment Banking, and International Business, Mr. Farooq served as Group Executive for Corporate & Investment Banking at UBL.
His expertise lies in building and managing risk assets and loan portfolios across corporate and non-corporate segments. He is highly adept at maintaining relationships with key players in various sectors, securing transaction banking, trade finance products, and capturing investment banking mandates. Throughout his career, Mr. Farooq has consistently delivered on key budget and performance indicators.
He has led business operations both regionally and across Pakistan, and his Board-level experience includes serving as a Director in companies across industries such as dairy and beverages, fertilizer manufacturing, asset management, and corporate restructuring. Mr. Farooq holds a PICG Certificate of Director and an MBA from the John M. Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
